Healthy Foods for Healthy Chakras

Chakra health is vital to your overall health. Taking care of the health of your energy body helps the physical body stay healthy too. Eating a variety of healthy foods is one relatively easy way to bring balance to your energetic body.

Of course, clearing blockages in and aligning the energy of each chakra is a subject unto itself, but eating the foods listed below can begin to bring a more even balance to each chakra and the entire chakra system as a whole. With most things, it's usually best to start from the ground up, so let's start with the root chakra.

1 Root (Red):

Root vegetables regardless of color, apples, pomegranates, cherries, strawberries, tomatoes, beets, red meat, paprika.

2 Sacral (Orange):

Oranges, carrots, melons, mango, squash, pumpkin, yams, sweet potatoes, passion fruit, honey, vanilla.

3 Solar Plexus (Yellow):

Yellow peppers, yellow lentils, bananas, pineapple, corn, turmeric, cumin.

4 Heart (Green):

Kale, spinach, chard, broccoli, green peppers, basil, thyme, cilantro.

5 Throat (Blue):

Blueberries, blackberries, herbal teas, blueberry juice, blackberry juice. 

6 Third Eye (Violet):

Eggplant, purple kale, Concord grapes, grape juice, wine.

7 Crown (White):

Coconut, onion, garlic, lychee, mushrooms.
